Warranties
All products, equipment and services are covered directly by Tri-Star Mold Inc. or the OEM and its representative. Tri-Star Mold Inc. will provide warranty coverage information for each product, equipment or service as noted here.
WARRANTY POLICY
Tri-Star Mold Inc. warrants that the mould and/or parts will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of six months from the date of shipment. A defect shall be deemed a defect only when it can be proven that the material or workmanship of mold impacts the intended function of molded part and thereby parts cannot be used. Defects related to subjective and opinionated judgment that does not impact intended function of molded parts will not be covered.
The purchaser must inspect the mold and/or parts within 7 days of receipt and notify Tri-Star Mold Inc., in writing within 7 days of receipt, if there are any defects which can be determined by a thorough visual inspection. If Tri-Star Mold Inc. is not so notified, the purchaser waives any recourse for those defects and all warranty obligations of Tri-Star Mold Inc. with respect to such obvious defects shall terminate. Tri-Star Mold Inc. has the right to request that the purchaser return said defective mold and/or parts to our plant premises for the repairs or rework.
Repair Conditions
Tri-Star Mold Inc. will repair or rework, under the warranty period, at its option, defects due to materials and workmanship but only if notified by the purchaser, in writing, within the warranty period. Tri-Star Mold Inc. has the right to request that the purchaser return said defective mold and/or parts, at its cost, to our plant for the repairs or rework. However, no costs of removal or reinstallation of the tooling shall be borne by Tri-Star Mold Inc. Defective conditions caused by the purchaser or any other third party, Acts of God, abnormal use, or abuse or stress or any other matters unrelated to Tri-Star Mold Inc. and beyond its reasonable control are excluded from this warranty.
Tri-Star Mold Inc.’s obligation under this warranty is limited to the repairs or rework of the mold and/or parts. In no event is Tri-Star Mold Inc. liable to the purchaser or any other party for loss of use, revenue or profit or for any other incidental, special, or consequential damages involving the mold and/or parts.
This warranty does not cover the following:
• Resin shrinkage or warp that is greater than or less than anticipated
• Damage resulting from not following recommended maintenance or operation
• Repair or replacement due to normal wear and routine maintenance
• Consequential loss, personal injury, damage to goods and equipment, work stoppages, delays or shutdowns in production
• Damage due to unauthorized customer modifications
• Damage resulting from the use of parts manufactured by unauthorized suppliers
• Non compliance to local electrical codes and standards
Any rework to the mold and/or parts must be done by Tri-Star Mold Inc. unless written approval is obtained from
Tri-Star Mold Inc. prior to commencement of any rework. Rework of parts will be F.O.B. our plant and will be done by Tri-Star Mold Inc. during the applicable warranty period.
This warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable.
